After 35 years as a doctor, first in Family Medicine, and then in Emergency Medicine, Rhema Sayers retired. She and her husband had adopted three little girls from China. Their daughters were all grown by the time she retired. So she turned to writing as a second career. It had been a passion when she was young.
In addition to writing, she loves hiking with her three dogs in the Arizona desert where they live and traveling with her husband, carrying a camera during both activities. Photography is another hobby.
She writes fiction, but also historical articles and stories based on her experiences in the ER.
Rhema Sayers’s story “The Wicked Stepmother”
