Jan Priddy began reading science fiction in high school when her father handed her Foundation, later earned undergraduate degrees in the visual arts from the University of Washington, and eventually studied writing with better authors including Ursula K. Le Guin and Molly Gloss. An MFA graduate from Pacific University, she lives in the NW corner of her home state of Oregon where she runs a couple of miles every other day. She weaves and bakes. She writes stories into the world.
