Q: What’s better: writing or having written?
A: Writing, by far. I get great pleasure from creating new worlds, working them out in more detail than ever reaches the page, then populating them with characters that I move through the arcs of their stories. Once having written, it’s just time to move onto the next thing. Better than having written, is having been read.
