A question for Josie Smith

A question for Josie Smith

Q: What is your favourite short story?

A: “Mother Carey’s Table” by J. Anderson Coats. From the first paragraph, the voice wowed me, and the mix of fables, folklore, and history captured my attention. That blend is right where I try to place my own stories, so it was so fun to read. I loved the story, and the rest of the anthology, so much that I bought my own copy as soon as I finished reading the library’s edition.
