Q: Aliens, are they out there?
A: Probably. The visible universe has over 400 quadrillion stars in it, and if even a tiny fraction of those stars have a planet that could support life…well, a tiny fraction of a gigantic number is still a gigantic number. I think it would be rather anthropocentric to imagine we’re the only life, or even the only intelligent life, in the cosmos.
So yeah, they’re probably out there. Maybe they’ll even read this story one day. If so, hi! What took you so long?
