Q: What’s an idea you’re dying to write but haven’t, and why?
A: I don’t know there are any ideas I’m “dying” to write that I haven’t attempted already, but for quite some time I’ve had an idea for a story where a young apprentice wizard is sent to a tidal pool to kill a giant mollusc so that he can use its conical shell as his smelly wizard hat, but instead of killing it he forms a partnership with the mollusc, who sits on his head and helps him with his magic. I’ve attempted it once already but it wasn’t quite coming together (mostly the question of, what next?). Maybe I’ll try again in the future.
